“When the baby
Buddha was born, he took seven steps, and a lotus flower appeared
under each step.
When you practice walking meditation, you can do the same. Visualize
a lotus, a tulip or a gardenia blooming under each step the moment
your foot touches the ground. If you practice beautifully like this,
your friends will see fields of flowers everywhere you walk.”

Dear Friends,
Please note that we will be meeting on Thursday evening this week
for sitting and walking meditation in Shelton. We had a wonderful
evening last Wednesday, enjoying a long mindful walk in the
darkening woods. After our walk we sat in mediation by candle-light
in a moon-lit clearing. We finished the evening around a blazing
campfire, sipping tea, eating cookies, and sharing deeply our joys
and insights.
This week we will return to our regular routine. We will gather for
sitting and walking meditation at 315 Leavenworth Road in Shelton on
Thursday Sept. 18 at 7 pm. Please feel free to come as early
as 6:30. We will begin sitting meditation at 7. If you arrive a
bit late just come in quietly and mindfully and join us.
